A Story Rooted in Love,
Care, and Legacy
The Memory Foundation was built from lived experience, created to support caregivers navigating one of life’s most emotional journeys.
Why We Exist
The Memory Foundation was created to support families navigating dementia with compassion, understanding, and real-life guidance. We know that caregiving is more than a responsibility, it’s a deeply emotional journey that impacts every part of your life.
Our purpose is simple:
To provide support, resources, and a sense of community so no caregiver has to walk this path alone.

Our Mission
To provide compassionate support, education, and resources to individuals living with dementia and the caregivers who serve them—helping families navigate this journey with confidence, dignity, and care.
Our Vision
A world where no caregiver feels alone, and every individual living with dementia is supported with compassion, understanding, and dignity.

You’re Not Alone in This
We understand how isolating this journey can feel.
But there is a community here for you.

A place where you are seen, supported, and understood.

A place where help feels accessible.

A place where you can breathe again.

A Journey That Came Full Circle
As I sit down to reflect on why I started this foundation, I’m reminded of the moments that shaped me—not just as a caregiver, but as a daughter navigating both heartache and hope.
My journey began years ago when my mother and I cared for my grandmother as she battled dementia. Together, we learned what it meant to show up with patience, compassion, and strength during one of life’s most difficult seasons.
Today, that journey has come full circle.

I am now caring for my mother as she navigates her own experience with dementia—after also facing breast cancer with incredible resilience and courage.
This experience has given me a deeply personal understanding of caregiving—from both sides.
I have seen the exhaustion, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight. But I have also experienced the strength, resilience, and love that carry you through.
Caregiving is not something anyone can truly prepare for. It challenges you, stretches you, and transforms you.
But one thing I’ve learned
above all else is this:
No one should have to do this alone.
That is why The Memory Foundation exists—to be a source of support, guidance, and community for caregivers just like you.

Built on Strength. Driven by Love. Inspired by Legacy.
The Memory Foundation is rooted in the lives and legacies of two incredible women—Josie Lewis and Dorothy Morman.
Josie’s life was a testament to love, strength, and compassion. Her legacy continues to guide the foundation’s mission and reminds us that care has a lasting impact, even beyond memory.
Dorothy’s life has been defined by service. As an educator for over 30 years and a dedicated member of city council, she has spent her life uplifting others and advocating for her community.
Today, her courage continues to inspire this work.
This foundation is more than an organization. It is a continuation of their legacy—carried forward through care, compassion, and community.
